This leads the charge! If we had to pick just one Malbec from all of the many we are proud to count in our portfolio, this could well be it, the desert island choice. (We would of course chill it!)
Seriously though, it doesn't get any better than this, and if the little green men ever do descend upon us with, lo and behold, an uncanny interest in wine, asking about Malbec... let this be the wine that is poured.
"A textbook Altamira with minty red fruit, while being tense and charming in its herbal tones… This is about dark fruit complexity, lifted by spice notes of clove and nutmeg. The tannins are stunning, fine-grained, giving a beautiful texture."
Decanter Magazine, Most Exciting Wines of 2017. 97 / 100. Outstanding. (2015 vintage)
"A refreshing Uco Valley Malbec: dark plum fruits, a hint of violets and crisp acidity with raspy, leafy tannins to balance. Refined, classy and drinkable with a long aftertaste tinged with spices and floral notes. It is lively and vivid so should certainly age gracefully."
Decanter Magazine, Wines of 2016, January 2017 (2014 vintage)
"Made with purchased grapes from Altamira, this impressive, limestone-influenced Malbec contains 6% Petit Verdot. It's a scented, well balanced expression of the grape with bright acidity, crunchy blackberry fruit, well integrated oak and filigree tannins. More evidence of the change of style here."

"A fresh, balanced and harmonious red with cherries, berries and hints of nutmeg caharacter. Full and super integrated with fine tannins and a long, flavourful finish."
