When we first tasted this wine, the 2008 vintage back in 2010, we became very excited and realised things were changing for the better in Argentina. A new style was beginning to emerge, wines equal in concentration to their predecessors but made in a fresher style, with less extraction and less gratuitous use of oak; food wines you might say. Riglos has been at the forefront of this movement from its inception less than a decade ago and this Malbec tells pretty much the whole story. It is beautiful.
"... another polished performance from Juan Carlos Rodríguez Villa. Minerally and nuanced with a hint of Asian spices, it's a wine that lingers on the palate."

"Intense and deeply coloured, as it usually is, this is a super dense, boldly structured Malbec that sees 18 months in new and second use barrels. Plum, bramble and blackberry flavours are complemented by plenty of tannins, bright acidity and plenty of Mediterranean spices."

"So much pure and beautiful fruit here with blackberry, blueberry and floral character. Full body, fine tannins and a long and flavourful finish. A salty and minerally aftertaste."
