This extraordinary wine is made by Gerado ('El Otro') Michelini. It's one of those wines where you look at the blend and your instinct says: "No, please don't do that. Malbec and Pinot Noir? Made like a Beuajolais? Surely not." Then you taste it and, slap! Gerardo's ear-to-ear grin makes sense. The nose is sublime; wild raspberries, so clean and fresh with that classic whiff of carbonic maceration, not unlike a serious single village Beaujolais but a lot more fun. Delicious stuff, so much so our first shipment was sold out before it arrived in the UK. It also wowed the judges in Decanter's article of June 2015 where it scored 18.5 / 20 and was declared 'Outstanding'. This is exciting proof that there is so much more to Argentina than 'classic' Malbec or even classic blends.
"Argentina's answer to a good Beaujolais, made with 100% whole bunches from Pinot Noir, rather than Gamay, this is fresh, juicy and unoaked with bright acidity, redcurrant and pomegranate fruit and a chalky bite."

"Amazing personality: inviting and fragrant raspberries, cherries, thyme and rosemary leap out of the glass - exhilirating! Dry, light, vibrant and refreshing with exceptional purity of fruit. Low alcohol and easy to drink. Supreme balance, tension and poise. A real triumph."
Outstanding, 19 / 20, Dirceu Vianna Jnr MW, Decanter, July 2015 (2014 vintage)
"Made by Gerardo Michelini and his wife, Andrea, this comes from their own 7 hectare estate and is, like all their wines, a blend. The cuvée here is co-fermented Malbec and Pinot Noir, described by Gerardo as 'anti Michel Rolland' with only 12.1% alcohol. Fresh and mineral with crunchy red fruits."
