Lots of fragrant cassis-like aromas on the nose and plenty of juicy black fruits on the palate.
Despite the obviously ripe style, the wine does retain a lovely freshness in the mouth, perhaps aided by the complete absence of young oak.
Fermentation with only indigenous yeasts; spontaneous malolactic in stainless steel; 50% of the wine is aged for 6 months in 3rd and 4th use French oak barrels.
