Created by James Rackham of Mayfield, the label depicts the local tale of St. Dunstan and The Devil, an epic event which, so the story goes, happened in the 10th Century in Mayfield Village (where Las Bodegas is based). Apparently St. Dunstan yanked The Devil by the nose with red hot tongs!
The hops were discovered growing wild in local hedgerows and are now cultivated in a 30 acre hop farm in Salehurst, East Sussex – the key ingredient in this innovative gin. Each of the 8 natural botanicals – juniper berries, Sussex hops, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander, angelica, orris and liquorice – are micro distilled separately then blended to create a unique personality.
An enticing zesty-citrus nose leads on to a pure, pine-and-spice juniper heart with floral notes and a delightful sweet bitterness on the finish.
